Wow. It's another year and I am ready to travel, once again. For this series of editions, we will explore our own backyard, and the world, from A to Z.  There are so many hidden gems in the land of the free and the home of the brave. Many of them are within a few hours' drive of major cities; in fact, some are within major cities themselves. International travel is always interesting, as well as fun. So many treasures to be found around the globe. This list is based on my research according to National Geographic (and other sources), known for their expertise in travel and little-known destinations around our beautiful world. Though this is not a full list, it will get you headed in the right direction. For this first edition of the series, let's begin with locations that begin with the letter A.

For instance, to travel Highway 50 in Austin, Nevada you will need a full tank of gas, blankets and at least 2 gallons of water per person in the vehicle. There are numerous preparations required for overseas travek as well. If you want to learn more about why and how to prepare for the trip you desire, email me by clicking here. Be on the lookout for my next article as we move to the next letter of the alphabet and focus on the street destinations you must see that begin with the letter B.
